UPDATED: NOV 7, 2023 7/11/2023. Bottle shared by Colin, cheers. Pours close to black with a small bubbly tan coloured head. Aroma is peated, chocolate, burnt rubber, toffee, black treacle. Medium sweetness and bitter peaty roasted bitterness. Full bodied, smooth, average carbonation. Good, if you like peat.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2023 Bottle split at the 2nd CBJ tasting, thanks to Kenny 31/08/23. Black with a tan cap that thins to edgeing. Nose is mellow smoke, peat, dark malts, dried fruits, spice, charr. Taste comprises medicinal aspects, spice, earthy, dusty fruits, peated barrel, herb, dark fruit rinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of booze. Decent for the age ... has held up well.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2023 Bottle shared in London - cheers to Kenny. Pours black-brown with a frothy tan head. Wildly peaty, like crazy, some booze, earth, toasted rubber. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, warming, more heavy and penetrating pear. Fun but novel.

Small brown bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry, weeds, peat, leather, booze, dark malts, hay, burnt caramel, ashes, oak, dark sugar. Taste is harsh peated, ashes, burnt wood, peat, sugar, leather, minerals, sour coffee, grass, oak. Medium bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Clowns, this fucks. Bottle at Mikkeller Viktoriagade in Copenhagen. Black pour with minimal head. Aroma is killer, peaty and scotchy with chocolate and molasses. Flavor is stout and scotch hybrid, sweet chocolate malts with molasses, coffee, scotch. Smooth, full, slick, little hot, very low carbonation. Amazing!

Bottle. Pours black with no head. Aroma is light chocolate, iodine, smoke, German railroads, Taste is heavy+ sweet, medium bitter. Body is near full, texture is thick, carbonation is flat. Finishes is fairly short and sweet with dextrose and peat.

Bottle 0,375 from '09, thanks to Kristian. Pours pitch black, with no head. Aroma of wood, peat, coffee, iodine. Taste is peat, salt, sugar, some chocolate, charcole, alcohol is faintly noticeable. Full body, oily texture and flat carbonation.

Intensiv malziger Antrunk. Leicht spritig, dennoch weich. Vollmundig würzig, milde Süße. Keine Karbonisierung, torfig. Sehr gut. 10/11/12/11/11/12

Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Pitch black, no head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and rather peaty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, iodine, tar and ash. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, moderately roasty and rather peated taste of dark chocolate, coffee, charcoal, iodine, ash and some licorice, followed by a medium long, slightly roasty-bitter, quite peated finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, flat. Very nice!

375ml. Fast schwarze Farbe. Geruch torfig alkoholisch, dunkles kräftiges malz. Geschmack süß malzig, torfig, rauchig,, sehr süß, leicht alkoholisch.
