Poured a cloudy orangish color with barely much head. Aroma was citrus and grapefruit zest. Taste was mildly bitter very citrusy and crisp. Pallet was medium frothy.

Pours hazy orange with off white head, aroma is citrusy hops. Taste up front is a blast of citrusy hops that blends really well into a caramel sweetness, and bitters a bit but is covered up by the malt. Nice brew!

(draft at Trinity in Colorado Springs). Cloudy copper color. Medium off white head. Hoppy citrus/pine aroma. Moderate pine flavor with light bitterness. Long duration. Light bitter finish. Thin/slick texture. Soft carbonation. Fair lacing.

Pours amber with a good head and leaves a creamy lace. Smells of baked hops. Full nectar with good carbonation. A solid malt body with a touch of caramel that is quickly bitten by this rabid hop beast that overshadows while striking and stabbing all the way down. This brew is very hoppily bittered. Not in the least bit balanced. Maybe thats why they call it what they do. It’ll surly wreck you.

On draft at the Rose and Crowne. Pours a deep dark coppery ruby red/amber color with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a half finger off white head that quickly fades into a thin lasting ring. Slightly hoppy earthy aroma with hints of citrus and dry pine as well as some sweet rye and caramel malt. There’s also a slight syrupy character in the nose along with some sweet dark cherry. Hop forward medium body with a decent amount of dry bitter pine that’s quickly balanced out by a sweet malty backbone and a dry spicy finish. Hints of rye and caramel malt mid palate and a slightly cloying syrupy character. Nthere’s also a bit of dark fruit especially cherry and subtle peppery spice in the finish.

22 ounce bottle from Nugget. I swear I have rated this before. Oh well. Aroma has some nice pine/grassy/metallic hop notes. Lightly sweet in the nose. Transparent copper body with a strong, medium off-yellowish head. Piney and herbal hops to start, without too much malt backbone in the middle. Finishes with more of an herbal hop flavor. Nice mouthfeel, and it also does have a little spiciness, too. Pretty solid.

Pours reddish amber with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy. A little bread and banana. This is an ipa? Taste is fruity spicy and bready with a powerfully resinous hop finish. Pine and a touch of tropical fruit... Ok, now it tastes more like an ipa!

2009 (6.5%) bottle thanks to Lt.Dan. Pours with a amber brown body; its chill hazed, not clear. Lightly off-white head (smallish). Aroma of pine, herbal and slightly catty hops. Spicy. A bit of caramel and even a sweet stewed meat note (rough approximation, and from the hops more than the malt). A bit of an odd fruit-bubblegum note. Taste is spicy up front, and herbaly/catty hoppy through out. Sort of an odd-thin malt and weird hop finish. Not your normal IPA, definitely a winter seasonal with the hop bill. Medium to high bubbles, dry.
