Sampled at FoBAB 2009. Pours a dark hue, opaque brown, lighter around the edges, a small light brownish head. Aromas are lightly sour and roasted malts, a bit chocolatey. Initial is chocolatey, roasty, a bit sour and funky, vanilla, interesting and much better than the base, a slight pepper twinge, roast comes in a bit more and melds well with the tartness and funk. Very nice, I actually thought

Sampled at FOBAB 09. Chocolate milk colored pour. Aroma of chocolate and sour vinegar. Flavor is vinegar, sweat, cherry, and a bit of peppery chocolate. Much better than the original version. Great funky sour beer.

Tap @ AnniBrew 2 Barrel Aged Beer Festival... Poured deep brown -- almost black -- with a bubbly, light brown head. I could easily detect the brett and spices in the aroma. Such a potent yeast. Chocolaty and coffee flavors with a mild brett tanginess and sourness. Chalky and nutty with not much noticeable bourbon. Finished clean with a low bitterness. Overall a low alcohol warmth and kick to it.
