Leighton (33714) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2015Bottle shared at CPK - London. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a fine, white foam head. Soured malts on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, a bit sour, with faint peaty smoke, some brett funk. Light to medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Faint dry lemon on the finish, more funky brett. Meh, might not be entirely right. Still, it’s novel.
Grima (2612) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 2, 2014Bottle from Bierkompass!
Pours orange golden with soapy head. Smell has sour malts and some belgian yeast. Starts refreshing sourish, with yeast, sweet candy sugar and some nice wweetish malts. Very fizzy carbonation. Middle part creamy-yeasty, well balanced sweet-sourish. Goes into a sweet malty finish with lots of refreshing sourish yeast.

mike_77 (14407) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2013It’s a gusher! 33cl bottle poured into two glasses such was the extent of the unstoppable carbonation. Quite sour with some ginger spiciness.

bartlebier (4526) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - MAY 2, 201375cl bottle, sampled spring 2012. rating from back catalogue. - Caution: Almost half of the bottle gushed right out, very lively foam and light-bodied. Quite unassuming and summertime weizen tending towards a wit, full of fresh citrus notes, virtually no banana, dry. Modest but refreshing. Minus notes for the gushed waste, considering De Molen’s prices.
Mackeon (163) - - APR 26, 2013Bottled in large bottles, because most of it will end up in the sink or on the floor. Unpleasantly sour for a weizen, and the yeast seems to give it a wrong palate altogether. Well worth a miss.

Is this really a heffeweise? More akin to a Berliner Weisse!
