It is more malty than hoppy, but does taste much better than it smells. Could definitley use more hop aroma. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jun 22, 2008 Poured from the bottle dark red-brown in color with a small head that diminished after a minute or so. Aroma is sweet caramel with a good ester nose. Flavor is malty sweet, dry at the start and a great light creaminess throughout the drink. As it warms, the aroma notes really permeate the nose and enhances the flavor quite well. Pretty good Irish ale. djd07 (773), Houston, Texas, USA
