Commercial Description:
Irish Ale, Boulevard’s spring seasonal beer, is our Midwestern tribute to the legendary red ales of old Ireland. Our recipe combines six kinds of pale and roasted barley malts to provide a rich, toasty flavor and tawny reddish hue. Whole hops are added to enhance the beer’s complexity and to produce a pleasing balance.

Medium brown color with tan head. Very little aroma. It is more malty than hoppy, but does taste much better than it smells. Could definitley use more hop aroma.

Fruity aroma smells like spring. Flavor resembles the auroma; Nice and springy. Also discovered that if you drink enough of these, even the new season of Scrubs is funny.

Poured from the bottle dark red-brown in color with a small head that diminished after a minute or so. Aroma is sweet caramel with a good ester nose. Flavor is malty sweet, dry at the start and a great light creaminess throughout the drink. As it warms, the aroma notes really permeate the nose and enhances the flavor quite well. Pretty good Irish ale.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a small frothy off white head that lasts awhile leaving good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with dough and smoke. Medium mouthfeel with a light toasty malt with caramel and a nice bitter finish. A very good Irish ale from Boulevard.

Pours dark brownish amber with a 2 finger slimy looking beige head. Aroma is grass, grainy malt, biscuit, fruity notes, and some planty hops. Flavor is raw grain, toast, wood notes, grass, light fruit, raw nuts, citrus and some caramel. Finish is slightly bitter and planty. Palate is thin, slightly sweet and has a slightly drying finish, very clean and crisp. A very good beer, available at a great price in my area.

Thanks to my friends Tim & Naomi for this. 12 oz. Bottle. Pours clear amber/red with a good light tan head and creamy lacing. Very appealing fruit and malt nose. Very smooth malt flavor with nice hop bitterness for a balance. Creamy texture. Overall a tasty beer.
