Fresh hop and mild citrus notes with a malt smoothness ties it together. Spice and a touch of sweet, a bit of bitterness at the end . Smooth, fresh flavors and really drinkable.

Harvest Wet Hop Ale
Pours medium copper with a thick rich head and some nice lacing. Medium retention. Clear appearance and a good looking beer. Aroma of pine resin and hops. Not much citrus here. Taste is a fresher version of regular Sierra Nevada with a thicker hop character. Good but not great.

Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Nose is crisp, floral hops. Nicely balanced flavor of citrus with a bit of maltiness in the background. Finishes just a bit dry. Incredibly drinkable. A wonderful beer, especially for the price. mallowness (1), New Jersey, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2010 Great poor and lasting head. Wonderful pine flavor that I love but backed up with malt that is absent from most IPA’s. Often this is preferable (GET AWAY FROM MY HOPS CURSED MALT), but here it works to perfection. gsmitty80 (714), Washington DC, USA

The balance was extraordinary and the aroma was very very fresh pine and citrus with the taste following through nicely. JW32Hoops (34), San Diego, USA

Color is a dark, cloudy amber copper with a one finger head that leaves behind some lacing...very nice looking pint. Harvest snaps at my palate like a rolled up towel but then gently massages it afterward with some sweet fruity hop flavor, followed by just a bit of malty caramel. This is a robust American IPA that gives just the slightest nod to the English style as if to say "respect". Well balanced is correct shakespeare, your favorite brewery strikes again. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 21, 2010 Wet hops are usually so forward in the beers that are made with them that they completely dominate the flavor (not that I’m opposed, I love them). But the nice thing here is that they are well balanced and the result is a more muscular brew that gives you that citrus, resiny, piney hop factor but also a deep maltiness. Very good.
