Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF tasting 2015 - London. Pours oily black-brown with a creamy, brown head. Rick dark malt nose, lots of roast, hearty chocolate, espresso. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, with hard roast, burnt wood, oily chocolate, scorched earth. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, lightly alcoholic, with more burnt wood, earth, baking cocoa and coffee. Great stuff.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized very dark brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque dark black brown colored body and a fair lacing. The nice aroma was vinous roasted malt sweet dark chocolate and dark malt. The vinous mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of black malt roasted malt vinous burnt malt chocolate brown malt and dark malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

Not barrel aged but very close to the same sort of flavors. Lots of vanilla, burnt sugar and dark chocolate. Lots of nice bold hops in the back end. First time with this brewery and I’m looking forward to the next.

Sugary, so for the imperial you taste it, but it is all sugar. Molasses and brown sugars. Not thick and syrupy but medium body. Coats the tongue with sweet. Get me a water. Burnt caramel aroma. Dark color but no head or carbonation. Tap
