EXOTISCHE FRÜCHTE,MANGO,WUNDERSCHÖNE HOPFENNASE. IM GAUMEN FRUCHTIG,MALZIG UND EIN KICK KASTANIENHONIG. INTENSIVE UND RUNDE BITTERE. FÜR HOPFENLIEBHABER!
Bottle 50 cl from GGF Getränke in Aarau (CH). Version 4,8 ABV. Dark brown-orangy, light beige foam. Bouquet of aromatic hops, grapefruit, key diacetyl. The mouth is softer than promised, discreet malt, average roundness, notes of apricot, citrus zest, toffy. Rather supple and light, nice bitterness but not enough for an IPA. Malt and hop are balanced in a mossy final.
Bottled 50cl. My version had 4.8 ABV. Labeled as Special Bitter II. Not really the same beer. It pours a beautiful clear dark ruby brown beer with a small, nicely lacing beige head. Impressive aroma of citrusy resiny hops (C-hops). Very nice hop profile indeed. Dark chocolate and coffee sneaking in. Strong bitterness. Subtle carbonation. Complex and delicious. Reminiscent of an american brew.
from SBJ 2010 - fully cloudy amber-orange colour with a fine beige foam left; nice lacework; fair fruity hoppy aroma with notes of apricots and mango; a good malt body, rounded palate and with a solid biting bitterness; quite dry with a long fruity, honeyish and very bitter finish - well-made and very pleasant; was my personal favourite as swiss beer of 2010
