UPDATED: JUN 14, 2020 Pours amber with a huge white head. Aroma of citra, sincoe hops. Taste has melon, guava. Soft hop mellow on the tongue, lingering simcoe elements. Lives up to the hype.

Can pour into shaker pint glass. Appearance is hazy, dark yellow with mild sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head. Aroma is initial dominant floral-fruity mix, with background malts and resin. Taste is early fruity-floral mix while toward the end more grapefruit and pine, light resin. Palate is light-to-medium with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mild bittersweet finish as late taste of grapefruit/pine. Overall, well balanced and not overly bitter. Nice complexity. It changed character from initial floral nature as the beer warmed.

12floz can, dated 11.10.2017 (I am assume COD), thx dwirks89, pint glass. Pours with a lot of head, forms over two-fingers worth. The color is yellow, and it smells like when taking whiffs of pellet/whole hops pre-boil. Tastes bittery, tinny, and piney. A definite full frontal attack on the bitterness receptors. There is some grapefruit there too, but mostly it's resin, and evergreen twanginess, My palate prefers restraint or balance to what this beer unloads. This could be paired with some spicy food for an awesome pairing of eXtremes; however, the toilet experience would be another matter.

cbrady (4) - - SEP 14, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: SEP 14, 2017 Hoppy, Grapefruity, not so bitter thanks to delicious fruit flavors that cover up that usual IPA bitterness. Light feel of pine, overall a very good beer to sip on slowly and take in the different flavors. Also at around 9% you're sure to feel a nice buzz after a few. Worth the hunt, and the rarity adds to the fun!

From a 5 hour old growler from the brewery. Pours a nice standard IPA amber with a medium head and has a nice dank smell of hops n citrusy pine with a little alcohol boost in there. The taste is a decadent dank resin hop wave with a drinkable smoothness not normally found in 8.5% abv beers. Definitely a NE IPA classic and one of the flagships of local heros, NEBCO. Good for a Saturday trip to an outdoor seafood restaurant of the first nice Saturday of the year, which of course got coupled with Greg Allman dying cause it is the 2017 nightmare so we are banging out some Whipping Post right now, too.

Poured from growler from brewer shared by DSandanato. Pours golden with white head. Tropical fruit aroma with grapefruit and pine resin. Flavor is citrus with caramel malt, papaya, some boozy flavors and a sticky pine resin finish. Lingering bitterness.

Can. Thanks, N! What a tour of IPAs to accompany morning football games. Pours a cloudy medium amber with a dense and sudsy off-white head. Bright grassy fruity nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb, lots of caramel under a steady wash of grassy, fruity notes. Sweet finish.
