Mar 9, 2002 An excellent Amber ale. Lovely flavor and finish, not too filling either. It is the best the Minnesota Brewing Company has to offer.

Jul 9, 2002 Here’s hoping that Mark Stutsrud and Summit Brewing picks up the Grain Belt line -- this is a good darker beer that goes down easy.

Jun 7, 2006 Old rating again,i caught this one at a beer tasting at Canterbury Downs.They billed it as having 20 brewers for the tasting and only 4 showed up.The drag was that only the worst brewers came and Grainbelt was one of them.Light amber color,small off white head.aroma of light caramel,malt,and light hops,mildly sweet.Malty flavor,albeit mild some faint hints of caramel and a touch of hops in the end.Not real spectacular but better then there other offerings.

May 28, 2002 I very good German style beer. I don’t think I will make this my main beer of choice, but I am totally into the German beers, most Americans just don’t know how beer should really be!
