UPDATED: OCT 23, 2021 Bottle @ home, cellared since 2010. Quite nice vinous aroma with caramel and prunes up front. The taste however, is not worth a review anymore...

Cheeseboard (5363) - Somerset, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2021 375ml bottle #2406 of 3600. Sampled Nov 2017 at Brewdog Clerkenwell. Pours deep ruby with the traditional Abstrakt zero head. Aroma: malty, caramel, dried fruit, light cherry, herbal, booze. Taste: heavy sweet, tangy vinous, caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar, cherries, liquorice, wood, alcohol. Full body with no carbonation. Another victim of the plastic corks, it was a bit oxidised. Time had made it an unbalanced, boozy, herbal, barleywine-ish mess

14Mar2018 Herbal, woody flavours, oak, bitter herbal spirit, alcohol. Clear, very dark brown, tiny, frothy, off-white head. Light bitter. More bitter, herbal flavours, Underberg, medicinal, wood, bitter floral notes, leather, soft carbonation, full bodied, very alcoholic finish. Too herbal and alcoholic. Bottle shared during AB:1 - AB:25 vertical tasting at BrewDog Shepherds Bush - thanks to madmitch76 and Theydon_Bois!

(Bottle) Deep ruby colour with brief bubbly head. Malty, vinous nose with caramel, dried fruit, prunes, cherries, burnt sugar and alcohol. Malty, vinous taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, burnt sugar, cherries, red fruit, a touch of tamarind, liquorice, spicy aged rum, cellar, wood and a vinous and warming finish with a generous earthy bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Hardly balanced, but quite warming and tasty. Has become a touch oxidized, but seems to have aged well. Nice one.

Bottle. Thanks to Mike. Nose of strong dark fruit, dark sugar, and stale vegetables. Dark translucent brown color. Thin dark fruit flavors, light raisins, and aclohol. Medium body, and just about no carbonation. Pretty much past its drink-by date (despite the high alc. content), and it hasn't held up so well.

The_Osprey (10591) - WALES - FEB 12, 2017
December 2016 - Bottle share at Leighton’s. Huge thanks to Kenny for this one. As ’BrewDog Abstrakt AB:02’, 18%, 2010 vintage, #2012. Ruby red, clear, foamy brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is sugary, red berry, very rich liqueur, cherry and redcurrant. Very ’red fruit’ nose. Body is very smooth, soft to low carbonation, slightly oily. Taste is syrupy sugars, more redcurrant, some light clove sweets, alcohol not noticeable but probably contributes to the spicy finish. Very sweet and pretty heavy going. Intense and drinkability is low. Glad to try it - thanks Ken. (3.2)
