bhensonb (21954) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 18, 2013
Bottle from Bu11zeye! Pours dark copper with a light beige head. Aromas of med dark fruit and rye spice and oak. Med + body. Flavor is rye, fruit oak, roasty caramel. It is shockingly flavorful and delicious. Finishes with a hint of sweet malt, but the rye/oak/fruit are killer dominant. Really good stuff.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours cloudy amber with a thick off-white head and a fruit and oak aroma. There is a full- bodied rye and pale malt flavor with lots of oak and a sweet malt kick at the finish. Very unique.

Pour out of bottle, big thanks to Aaron for cracking this gem! Bottle from 2010, gushed a bit but pour is hazy orange-red with off white head, aroma has notes of oak, tannic wood, some nice spice with rye, toffee notes, hints of grass and oxidized hops. Taste is nice with oak, tannic wood and spice, hints of toffee, grass and earth, finishes fairly dry. Interesting for sure!

Bottle @ Armin’s, courtesy of foppa78. Thanks Mat! Slight gusher. Orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Oaky/woody, caramel malty, earthy, dull hoppy, slightly oxidized nose. A little oxidized, a touch fruity, rich oaky, caramel/rye malty, toasty flavor. Definitely an interesting beer but past its prime.
