500 ml bottle. Pours chestnut with a big, fluffy, off-white, long lasting head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is rich smoked (lox) malt with hints of piny hops. Medium, smooth body. The flavor is initially a sweet smoky malt, brown sugar balanced by earthy, piny hops. Long lasting, balanced finish. Great beer.

Dark brown with a big fluffy white head, lacing. Aroma is full of smoked meat and some sweet malts. Honey? F: Smoky! Citric notes and malts. M: Average. T: I like this one, but then I am also partial to really smoky whiskies.

Bottle. Dark brown with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is rich bacony smokiness. The flavor is initially a big hit of rich meaty smoke, with a bitter, woody finish. There’s a lot of subtlety to this stuff considering how dominated it is by the smoke.

Pours a amber brown. Nice fluffy beige head that goes to a nice lacing. Aroma is of raw bacon with hints of citrus and sweet. Smooth smoke flavor with a bit of hop. Medium carbonation. A hint of pepper and dryness on the finish.Overall the flavor is like bacon, ham, or smoked fish. Maybe jerky. It doesn’t really taste beer. It was a very nice experience.

Note più delicate solo nel finale.

Bottle. A clear, effervescent ruby beer with a large, creamy beige head leaving a loose, soapy lacing. Smokey, latakia tobacco, lapsang souchong tea aromas. Meaty, bacon flavours combine with more notes of lapsang souchong and a bit of roasted malt bitterness on the tongue. Quite a light body. Dry through medium to full - though non-aggressive - carbonation and the smokey character. Finishes with even more of the lapsang souchong as an aftertaste.

A classic smoke beer from Bamberg in Germany. Poured from bottle into a Budvar stein glass. No German stein glass so best equivilant I guess. Poured slowly at a 35degree angle. Very little head. Simmers out to the end of the glass. On aroma the smoke instantly hits you - ddin’t expect that one! The roasted malts are superb and the hop factor is strong. I enjoy the balance even if there is a slight off edge to the carbonation feel. I can sense smoke; oak, caramel, leather, coffee and a dash of licorish. I enjoy this and will partner it with my duck.

16.9 oz bottle from Spirits RB. Poured a super dark Ruby brown with an average sized bubbly light beige head. Aroma of mesquite smoke, earthy fire pit, sweet malts. The body is on the thin side with bubbly carbonation and a lingering Smokey sweet aftertaste. Flavor has lots of sweet malts, caramel, earth, tree bark and lots of smoked wood. Really nice stuff, I love the smokey sweet combo.
