Commercial Description:
It took 2 years of brewing, tasting and testing to come up with the final recipe for Sam Adams Light. We focused on brewing a flavorful, high quality beer with a light-bodied taste and fewer calories. Sam Adams Light is a unique beer, it's not a lighter version of our Boston Lager. Sam Adams Light is the only light beer that uses no adjuncts and a traditional brewing process to ensure a balance of flavor and light-bodied taste. No other domestic light beer uses only the four classic ingredients of beer: pure water, lager yeast, Noble hops and barley malt. The quality ingredients that make up Sam Adams Light include two-row malt and some of the most expensive hops in the world, Spalt Spalter Noble hops. At 128 calories, Sam Adams Light features a clean finish and no aftertaste.

Very Good for a light beer probably one of the better light beers out there. Very close to sam adams boston lager with a little less alcohol and flavor content. My wifes fovorite light beer.

Pours dark amber with a tall chunky off white head that has good retention. Aroma is caramel, noble hops, grass and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavor is caramel, toasted nuts, bread crust, grainy malt, planty hops and a little butterscotch. Finish is planty and slightly bitter. Finish is very clean, noble hops and a bit of toast. Not a bad beer really not off tastes or anything, just kind of boring. Definitely the best beer I have had that is labeled as "light".

Bottle. Pours a nice orange with small tan head that dissipates quickly. Slight malty aroma. Taste is somewhat sour with an even maltiness and hoppiness. If this didn’t come with my sampler case I wouldn’t be drinking it.

I couldn’t drink it. Maybe a bad batch? Overwhelming metallic taste and aftertaste (from a bottle). Was really hoping for a winner in this category. No taste is better than bvad taste.

One of my buddys ordered this tonight so I had to have a taste. Pours a clear light amber with a medium off white head. Aroma of bread, honey, with a hint of pepper? and with a hint of floral hops. Medium light watery body with lively carbonation. Watery flavor of bread, and light sweet caramel-ish tinge. Not bad, but certainly not good. The key here is that it’s one of the best lights I’ve ever had, but that’s funny ’cause I don’t choose to drink light beers at all. As a matter of fact, the whole idea is a joke, but that’s another story.

The Good: Has flavor, and not as watery as other light beers. The Bad: Still a light beer, so the flavor is still weak and the beer still feels watery throughout. Not their best effort.

Very good for a light beer. Obviously not as good as a real beer but it is a light.

Pours copper gold with faint amber edges and a white head that faded to a small cap, some sweet and malt fragrances, a brown grass aroma, malt taste with some hop bite, not bad for a light beer, has a dry finish.
