COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A traditional dry Irish stout, full flavoured yet smooth. Roasted barley flavours are nicely complemented by notes of vanilla and aniseed. Enjoy with robust meat dishes or on it’s own off the shelf. Contains a yeast sediment, store upright and pour carefully. Best served at room temperature.

Dry stout molto scura con un cappello di schiuma beige invidiabile, molto persistente. Aroma un po piatto. Buona al palato con una secchezza limitata, sentori di caffè. Molto frizzante.

Bottle courtesy of Theydon Bois (cheers Colin) consumed at mum’s, Worcester, Friday 10th April 2015 Looks great, pours black with gorgeous big frothy tan head, 5/5 for appearance. Very dry, really roasty, no sweetness at all. Nice soft carbonation, tangy fruit, pleasant. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

500ml bottle, brought back from Ireland by my wife. Poured into a shaker, appearance is jet black with a nice 2cm head that lasted about half the glass. Nice delicate lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla and coffee, nice and roasty. Malty, with a mild, understated bitterness. Medium carbonation, with a slick oily mouthfeel. A very, very good stout, possibly my new favourite in this style.

Bottle 0.5L. Dark brown body with huge, frothy, tan head, fully lasting with some nice lacing. Moderate malty (roasted, caramel) aroma with notes of coffee and licorice. Moderate-to-heavy bitter flavour with light sweet character; long bitter and dry finish. Medium body with oily texture; soft carbonation.

Pours jet black, no head. Malts on the nose. Malts plus a fair bit of coffee. Slight hint of the sea. Fairly dry due to the carbonation.
