Handpump at the Madding Crowd in Oxford. The beer pours a med. auburn with a thin soapy head that dissipates. Med. body and med. CO2. The flavor is earthy with hazelnuts.. Huge caramel with a firm bitterness. A very distinct house character.

Cask at The Royal Oak, Wantage, Oxon, 26-01-10 Cheers to Peter from Pitstop brewery for buying me this beer. Pours warm gold, medium bitterness, touch dry, good maltyness, a tasty nice beer as you would expect from West Berkshire. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask at Gallows XIII Real Ale Fest. Pours light amber with large, creamy white head and has good lacing. Taste is lightly sweet and acidic with a dry, sourish finish. Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel. Aromas have light malts, moderately hoppy and warm spices.

Slightly hazy deep golden colour with tiny head. Mild fruity hoppy aroma with sour apples. Fruity darkish hoppy flavour. Dry hoppy aftertaste.

(Cask at Gallows Real Ale Fest ’10) Poured amber and clear with dense, white and small head. Aroma contained malts and toffee. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, mild roastedness, toffee, hops, bisquit and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090806]
