2005 bottle. Hazy gold, thin head. Funky nose for sure, with leather, hints of cherry pit. Mildly tart flavor, some sweet fruit malts (lemon, peach) and more funk - leather and ?. Aroma begins to turn floral and peppery. Spikes of alcohol bite into the finish. Weird but nice.

Bottled. Label says Vlaamse Primitief. Hazy orange coloured. Fruity aroma and flavour with a primitive touch of sourness and earthiness. Funny and full bodied.

Cloudy gold in appearance with a slightly musty aroma. Winey and citrusy flavor with a warming sense of alcohol on the back of the throat. A hint of hop bitterness that quickly fades. A nice ale on a cool rainy evening.

Pig nun bottle. Hazy orange-amber body with a regnerative white head. Decomposing grapefruit rind aroma with an efferevescent grassiness. The aroma leads you to belive that the flavor have a lambic-y tartness but it’s well-grounded in darker pale malt. On top of that is a bier de garde-ish mineral thing with tangly citrus rind. An oddly-categorized beer but sitll tasty.

This is madness in a bottle. The scent of wild yeast is intense: reminds me of a used pair ex-girlfriend’s panties, which normally triggers positive emotions, but here it’s just kinda funky. Other descriptors that come to mind are cider, gym shoes, Value Village shirt racks. Flavour-wise, this shockingly malty along with being cidery and acidic. Pleasant, but the aroma/taste disconnect is nothing short of mind-bending. Glad I got to try this. It brings back great, long-lost memories. I love you, underwear beer.

LCRBM2: lemon aroma. Strong brett character. Horse blanket. Hoppy flavor, almost oily, like a mix of Orval and lambic. Oily mouthfeel. You really can’t taste the promised 9% ABV.

This is the Pig Nun bottle. Deep gold body with lots of carbonation. The aroma is rich gingerbread and some carrots. There is also cinnamon and raisins. Smells delicious. The taste is slightly spicy with black pepper and some dry white wine. There is a note of tobacco hiding in the aftertaste. Fairly dry, yet drinkable. Finishes clean and crisp. I imagine this is would smooth out deliciously with some aging.
