Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Smooth beer with a hint of apricot. There really is nothing like it and it’s probably my second favorite Vermont brew next to Long Trail Ale. The first sip kindof suprises you because you don’t expect it. Very tasty.

Smells like fermented apple juice and dirty socks. Golden color w/ a light, white head. Tastes like seltzer water w/ a slight apple flavor. Very bland. Awful. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy (hmmm...or maybe I would).

Golden peach pour with an apricot nose. Flavor shows significant fruitiness which I actually enjoyed. Unique.

Orangish yellow pour into flute. Strong aroma of fresh apricots to my surprise. Tastes of it as well. Pretty smooth and mellow. Has a good underlining malt profile. I was expecting something of a pale ale but ended up with a straight forward fruit beer. The palate is slightly tart. Fortunately I like the flavor and you will to if you like apricots.

On tap at the Saucer in San Antonio. Pours a hazy golden body with a ring of ivory head. Nose is diacetyl, lemon, some apple and super sweet. Flavor is apricots, light sweetness and metal. Lively carbonation and medium mouthfeel. Not a good effort. Nose kills it.

22-oz bottle. Pours a dark golden color. Lightly hazy. Thin white head with minimal lacing. Wonderful aroma: peach, coriander and a very light butterscotch. Lightly malted. Thin in texture. Crisp and tart. Spicy aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Slightly fruity, but it holds up well. Fun and groovy, a lot like to logo and packaging.

Appearance: Translucent gold with minimal head. Not much aroma, a bit of hops? weak apricot flavor, with a bitter finish. Not great, but not terrible.
