Commercial Description:
A Beer Cloaked in Secrecy An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A beer brewed clandestinely and given a name whose meaning is never revealed. Why #9? Why, indeed. A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Fermented with our 150 year old strain of top-fermenting English yeast.

Draft, bottle, ect. I’ve had this many times but never rated it. Pour is light golden/amber with a white head. Aromas of slight piney hops, citrus fruit, and some sweet malt. Flavor is watery with minimal hops and grapefruit. Decent and definetly a nice session brew.

22-oz bottle. Pours a dark golden color. Lightly hazy. Thin white head with minimal lacing. Wonderful aroma: peach, coriander and a very light butterscotch. Lightly malted. Thin in texture. Crisp and tart. Spicy aftertaste. Very drinkable.

Slightly fruity, but it holds up well. Fun and groovy, a lot like to logo and packaging.

Appearance: Translucent gold with minimal head. Not much aroma, a bit of hops? weak apricot flavor, with a bitter finish. Not great, but not terrible.

A thin tasting, apricot flavored beer. Apricot flavor is far to dominant and having more then one of these is pushing it. Aprihop by Dogfish is a much better choice.

On tap at Winslow’s Tavern, Greenville, NC Fruity taste but rather smooth; understated.

A golden/orange hue to this one, on tap at Yard House. The smell is a bitter fruit type of aroma. Pours smooth with some lacing at the top. Tastes like a mixture of citrus and biter floral hops. Too much of the latter for my taste. Intriguing name though.
