A good mid priced beer. Tastes best in a parking lot before a Phish show. Needs to get rid of the clear bottle though.

pours dark ruby with a big white puffy head. balanced malt nose, aromas of the countryside, hay? taste is sweet malt, slight corniness, citrusy hops, fresh. a bit watery mouthfeel, but smooth. this beer is alright, but for the price theres no point other than trying it once

(draught) clear rich brown pour, lasting creamy head and great lace. Nose of sweet malt and roasted nuts. Taste of toasted nuts, sweet toastiness and breast notes. Medium oily body that’s quite creamy.

At the bierkoning in Amsterdam, brown, very thin head, some hazelnuts and caramel, nice bitter, easy to drink and nice one.

Bottle. A - Tawny nut brown with a decent sized off white foamy head. Retention isn’t great, and a little lace left. S - Light smell. Some toasted grain and malt with a bit of nutty smell. T - Toasted malt and grain with a little bit of bread and caramel taste. Fair amount of nut and earthy flavors. A touch of earthy hops. M - Light to medium body with adequate carbonation. Some smoothness and a drying finish. D - Decent drinkability. Pretty grainy and somewhat sweet flavors are fine for a while but the flavors don’t have much variety or build with time so that limits how many I want to drink. Notes: Seems like an easy to drink inoffensive beer that is made for mass consumption. Average beer that may be a good stepping stone to craft beer.

Dark amber color without head. Aroma of malt, sugar and caramel. Also in mouth it is predominantly sweetish, with an end that decidedly leaves the dry mouth and slightly bitterish.

Tap. Light brown pour with slim head. Nut, bread and light caramel. Much lighter than how I recall this beer. Very thin.
