azzurro (2398) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 24, 2020UPDATED: MAY 24, 2020 Ordered online last Fall from SAQ, the day where all Cantillons were sold within 15 minutes. This is my 1500th, happy to celebrate with something classy. Very tasty and potent imperial stout, taken while doing some yard work and renovation on my shed.
coachd (2863) - O'Fallon, Missouri, USA - MAR 1, 2020UPDATED: MAR 1, 2020 Busy aroma of red wine, butterscotch, bourbon barrel, vanilla and Evan Williams SiB. Flat black body, dark brown head. The taste has everything from the aroma, with more oak, bourbon barrel and a moderately hot but abrupt finish. Palate was thinner than I would have liked, but this is a great Impy that everyone should try given the chance.

robinvboyer (7550) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2019UPDATED: DEC 24, 2019 2017 bottle. Jet black with a huge vanilla, bourbon, earthy, sticky, caramelly nose. Big burnt brown sugar notes, soy, dark chocolate and HUGE bourbon notes. A real barrel bomb. Mouth feel is thick, and syrupy, with a soft carb. Finish is medium to highly bitter, with a strong bourbon barrel finish, with some light vanilla, and charred roast. Alcohol is warming, and this is a definitive sipper. Don't go crazy with this one, it'll bit you.
davidezdonz (1900) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - AUG 30, 2019UPDATED: AUG 30, 2019 A 22 fl. oz. waxed bomber, 2016 vintage. Poured into a snifter glass. It was dark dark brown to black in colour with a one and a half finger tanned head that had decent retention and left some nice lacing. Aromas are roasty, chocolate, toffee, coffee, bourbon, vanilla with a hint of licorice. Tastes moderately sweet, bourbon, fruit cake, raisin, fig, light roast, chocolate, molasses, honey, licorice. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, not enough roastiness as it was overpowered by the sweetness and bourbon. Body was also lighter than I prefer my Imperial Stouts to be.
