Canned (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, mediumsized beigeish foamy head, Aroma is malts, some slight maize, hops and even mild earthy bitterness. Flavour is grass, some earth and mild notes of bready malts. Actually quite wellbalanced compared to what I though I would have to drink!

Brown bottle from John’s Market in Portland, OR. This bottle is by Skol Breweries Ltd. in Maharashtra. Golden color with a decent white head. Aroma is pale malt with a touch of grain, and it seems bready. Near medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavor is something like noble hop, alcohol and grain. Finish is papery with a touch of bitter. Probably a good curry wash, but not a stand alone.

Brand is good , Taste is good but quality control is worst. I was the regular consumer of Royal Challange beer but few days back when i opened the beer bottle and poured in my glass and had a sip I found it tasteing like machine oil, then I checked the bottle I was shocked to see that there was thick layer of oil sticking inside the bottle, I immediate complained the customercare, two days later one of their sales person came and inspected the bottle and admitted that it is a sheer neglegence at their end and offered me a crate of beer to hush up the matter and admitted that its common complaint because they purchase recycled bottles from the suppliers because the demand in summers is so huge that they cannot buy so many new bottles from the market. I refused to accept their beer carton and again complained to their customercare but after that nobody bothered to approach me. Rajeev Ahuja New Delhi [INDIA]

Bottle into English pint glass. Pours a watery, near-yellow with the weakest head I’ve yet seen. The aroma was floral skunk; I doubt this beer was actually skunked because the brew date was Feb. of this year. Flavor was the skunkiness, some wet hay, a touch of sweet something and mild bitter hops. To be fair, this sat well on the palate. Then again, so does water. I got this at a liquor store on a lark when the Indian proprietor chose to reward my interest in an Indian beer by running back into his cooler and pulling out of his personal stash. I appreciate his graciousness, but the beer doesn’t really match his efforts to impress and reward.

Pale yellow lager with a disappearing white head. Slight malt aroma. Slight, though present, hop flavor. Beer is a bit watery. Finish was touch of hop. Not worth a second purchase, but it went well with the Indian food.

(Can, Mfg 10/07, Batch 953) Pours a pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of sweet corn and light grassy (very faint nose). Flavor of some mineral and slight metallic (mostly water) with a somewhat dry finish.

Bottle thanks to Myrup. Pale golden colour with a big fast disapering white head. Corn, hay aroma and a sweet straw taste. Light body with a light dry finish.
