UPDATED: FEB 7, 2024 Tap @ Cardinal. Deep brown body under a small tan head. Aroma has malt, rye, dry fruit and some kind of spicy brown sugar touch (I sometimes get a spicy feeling of Belgium brewing sugar.) Taste has sweet malt, bread, dry fruit, spicy yeast and malt drops with a hint of brown sugar. Fine body with long lasting delicious aftertaste. Nice and tasty with no sharp edges, very nice.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2024 On tap at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. Mahogany colour, moderate beige head. Moderate malty aroma, some vanilla and brown kandij sugar. Malty flavour, caramel, brown kandij sugar, dark dried fruits, moderate American hops. Good beer.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2024 Vi er atter samlet i trygge omgivelser, og seremonimester Melberg har sørget for at denne kvelden er i sin helhet viet fatøl. Vi nærmer oss nå avslutningen: klar mørkerød mahogny med fint skum som varer. Mørke bær, tørkede frukter og karamell. Saftig og superbalansert. Mange lykkelige ansikter rundt meg nå.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2024 On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with dense beige head. Aroma of dark dried fruits, caramel, ethanol, some phenolic notes. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2023 Ultramørkebrun. Uklar. Aroma av plommer. Smaken tørket frukt. Tørr, lett alkoholisk avslutning.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2023 750ml bottle from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Mahogany/brown and translucent with a small ring of beige head. Raisins, some chocolate, light notes of caramel sneaking in. Sweet taste with souring notes of soy sauce. Not sure if this is meant... Thinner body than I'd expected and fairly flat carbonation. It's okay but I expected more for this style.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2023 Bottle shared at work. Azt mondja amerikai quad, de semmi komlokarakter nem mutatkozik, de meg csak keseruseg sem sok. Malatassagrol sem nagyon lehet beszelni, maximum nemi kandiscukros edessegrol.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2023 Dried fruits, plums esters in aroma. Brown, haze without head. The taste reminiscent the aroma with small alcohol and bitterness in aftertaste. Medium carbonation, medium body.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2023 kolor brudno brunatny. Zapach drożdżowo winny. W smaku pełnia oraz kontra amerykańskich chmieli.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2023 Bottle. Perfume, lowery on wooden, light leathery dry belgian yeast nose. Pours a dark red chestnut, golden brown cream. Medium to full chewy body, mellow sparkles, pleasantly dry on the palate. Wood, dark sugar, bready roast, spicy honey, licorice and chocolate, salt licorice aftertaste. Very drinkable.
