COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally a collaboration with Pizza Port Ocean Beach.

Double IPA with Tangerine & Blood Oranges and Maui cane sugar. The deep red hue is a result of the blood orange juice and specialty malts. The unique hop profile is made up of Azacca, El Dorado and Sorachi Ace. This beer is delightfully bitter and aromatic with noes of tropical fruit and, of course, orange.

Ale Alpharetta. Grapefruit, orange, high level of bitterness that gets amped up by the citrus fruit. Very light malts. Ok, but just didn’t resonate completely with me.

Can. Medium orange, slightly hazy, light gold head. Tangerine peel, juicy citrus hop character, low sweetness, long bitterness. A drinkable IIPA.

Bottle at Dad’s for the half marathon tasting. Pours a faintly hazed amber with a thin white head. Musky with a good amount of citrus. Medium bodied, spicy citrus, musk, a bit of bitterness. Long slow citrus with a long spicy citrus finish.

Originally rated on 2/26/15. Big tropical fruit aromas, oranges, grapefruit, mango, with touches of sweet caramel malts. Body is a deep burnt orange with plenty of suspended particles, the head was thick and foamy but settled quickly leaving some spotty lace. the sorachi really comes out in the flavor, its bright and zesty with a nice long bitter fade. Overall its a pretty good IIPA.

Pours hazy amber with a thin eggshell head. Fruity and hoppy notes dominate the aroma. Boldly hoppy flavor has evergreen, citrus, and subtle malty notes. Mouthfeel has Ok fizz and body. Get bitten!

12 oz can from Buddy’s beer barn El Paso. Pours a hazy golden amber color with a ton of floaties throughout and an average sized off white head. The aroma has grapefruit citrus, tangerine, orange, resin, some dank character, blood orange notes hit late, pale malts, some toast, light sweetness, moderate bitterness, good flavor if you can get passed the floaties.

Can pour hazy copper with huge amount of flotsam. Nose initially hits with tangerine, then nice resin, pine, citrus orange. Taste sweet tangerine up front, then pine and dank hop. Then more candied tangerine. Moderate bitter finish. Some very sweet candy sugar mixed in. If it didn’t pour like full pulp OJ, I would rate it higher.

Another good output from Maui. Big on the hop front and it blends well with semi-hidden blood orange and tangerine notes, making a well rounded, tropical citrus blast of goodness!

Can at the Half Marathon tasting - May 2015. Pours a light body with white lacing. This was an interesting one - it has nice flavors of tropical fruit and fresh earthy grass which are typically great, howeever in this case the flavors are super muted and a bit unbalanced against the malt character. Maybe a sign of the IPA being past its prime? Will have to try this fresh. Oh well, time to go to Hawaii.
