UPDATED: APR 11, 2023 Backlog July 2011. Reddish/brown to amber body under a small but dense beige head. Aroma has malt, citric fruit, caramel and hint of coffee. Strong and nice in taste, sweet malt, caramel, citric fruit and good bitterness. Medium body with long aftertaste. Nice, tasty and bitter.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2022 Bottle (330 ml) @ Norresan, Gudhjem 20220628. Roasted malty, caramely and citrusy with grapefruit and piney notes, medium body with a watery to oily texture. The finish is bitter.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2021 Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and nuts, with mild touches of yeast and caramel. Bitter, hoppy, roasty and nutty flavour, with notes of yeast and touches of caramel malt. Bitter, roasty and estery aftertastebwith nutty touches. A really good brown ale.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2020 Flaska. Mörkt brunfärgad med ett smutsvitt skum. Dofter av rostad malt, citrus och trä. Smakinslag av rostad malt, choklad, citrus, örter och kaffe.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2019 Bottle, koszi Petra! Rubyish copper pour, thin head. Nose is raw pellet, grass, some toffee notes. Taste is agressive bitterness, raw and “green”, unsophisticated. I love hoppy dark stuff and I get the concept but this one’s just unbalanced and one dimensional.

Keg at fynefest. Pours hazy, nose is roasted, earthy, pine, taste is bitter, juicy, fruity, roasted.

Gylden brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lukter både humlen og malten godt. Karamell, noe brent, honning, sitrus og noe sure bær. Middels fylde. Søtlig smak, fruktig, noe knekk, lett sitrusbitterhet. Kort

33cl Bottle @ LaBIRRAtorium, Madrid, Spain. Dark brown colour with a thick white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine, malt, nuts. Taste is hops, citrus, grass, fruits, bitter, malt, caramel, slightly nutty. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Color marrón, turbio, con capa de espuma de un blanco amarronado de cuatro o cinco dedos de grosor (grumosa, burbujas amplias, parece que no va a durar pero se mantiene durante largo rato). Excesivamente carbonatada, para mi gusto. En cuanto toca tu lengua parece que el líquido se convierte en burbujas y la experiencia de saborear no es tan placentera como podría haber sido. Aroma a pomelo, melocotón, piña, malta caramelizada (muy por debajo de lo demás). Sabor a melocotón, piña, cítricos, con base de malta caramelizada y tostada y reminiscencias a frutos secos y cacao. Final de amargor ligero. Postgusto casi inexistente, ligeramente tostado. Más IPA que Brown Ale. Cruce interesante pero a años luz de lo esperado (como concepto, bien; su realización... no tanto). Disfrutable pero no merece un top 50. Por alguna extraña razón si uno añade el último tercio de la botella (repleto de sedimento) todo se vuelve aún más turbio (estilo lodazal) y gran parte de esa carbonatación se pierde. Más fácil de beber pero sabor más rancio. No sé, no me convence del todo esta cerveza.
