English: Black Ball is a potent porter with a nice and round mouth feel combined with a lot of american hops, that balances the full and creamy body which has notes of chocolate, coffee and smoke.
Ingredients: Water, malt(pilsner, smoked, chokolade, cara munich, brown), roasted barley, flaked oat, dark cassanade sugar, hops (Simcoe, Centennial, Cascade) and yeast.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2022 From the Bottle at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico 07/08/2011 Grainy hop aroma. Beige head. Black smooth on the palate hoppy and roasted with a hint of dryness in a bitter coffee roast finish.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2021 330ml bottle. Looking at the reviews this varies quite a bit but is nearly always good. Pours black with a small tan head that fades fast. Rich aroma with chocolate, coffee, malt & some smoke or wood in there. The taste is medium bodied, smooth & sweet but with good depth, not just sugar. The decent helping of hops balances it all out well so you get a tasty porter, almost stout, with a good balance. You do need to like a fair dollop of hops in your porter.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2021 Bottle. A- Roasty, charred wood, dusty. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Char, roasty, bitter, dry cocoa powder, burnt sugar. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. O- A rather robust porter that is borderline imperial but isn't necessarily boozy. Bit too bitter for my liking but an appreciable brew overall.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2020 How: bottle. BB: 11/01/22 Head: tan, three fingers. Dense. Colour: black. Aroma: molasses, campfire, dark chocolate, earthy. Taste: medium body, soft carbonation, taste follows what aroma suggested. Quite roasty/ bitter. Massive long aftertaste of molasses, campfire, dark chocolate. Really robust for porter, really flirting with idea of imperial stout.
