Commercial Description:
La Terrible is a dark brown beer on lees and is part of a collection of exotic and refined Unibroue beers brewed using 100% natural raw materials. It may be drunk as an aperitif or as an after dinner digestive. It is equally a perfect accompaniment to the above-mentioned dishes or a pleasant alternative to coffee.

Pours ruby red with a thin tannish head. Smells of figs, plums, raisins, light notes of sherry and grapes. Taste is buttery with nice autumn berries and local fruits. Finish is warming with a nice tinge of tanginess.

Tasted at Griffen Distribor show. Dark brown with a thin but lasting head. smells of dark berries and malt. taste is of rich dark fruit, dark sugars, and some spice. finish is clean and warming due to the alcohol content. very interesting and another great beer from Unibroue!

Pours a dark brown, almost black, with ruby highlights. Thick, foamy tan head with good retention and lacing. Nice strong aroma of dried cherries and raisins. Flavor is similar, with dark malts, brown suger and dried fruits. Just enough hoppiness to keep the sweet flavors in check. Warm, earthy finish and a clean aftertaste. Outstanding beer.

I’m pretty sure this is an Abt/Quad. Pours a very dark, opaque brown with ruby edges and a tan head that hangs around awhile. Full aroma of figs, grapes, candied sugar, yeast, toffee, and caramel. Similar flavor with some alcohol heat on the finish. Rich, full mouthfeel with soft, fizzy carbonation. My new favorite from Unibroue.

750mL bottle. The beer pours a dark brown almost black, like coca cola. Some dark head, lots of carbonation - a staple attribute of any unibroue brew. The aroma is some fruit, towards the end I can begin to sniff some strong alcohol. However, this alcohol is completely absent from the taste

Unibroue Terrible Pours dark brown with a dense creamy head and good retention. Slight reddish tinge. Sweet aroma of cloves and grapefruit with some alcohol on the nose. Smells nice. Flavor is malty and boozy with some cloves and a slightly sour finish due to a citrus flavor. Mouthfeel is bubbly and crisp. Good brew

From the 750 ml. bottle with an expiration date of 11-11-2013. I had trouble with the cork to this one and ultimately had to use a corkscrew, which always makes me worried about getting cork in the beer. Fortunately it was a smooth uncorking after that. It poured brown with two fingers of puffy, beige head. The aroma has some light hops, cereal malts, and comes across as a tad alcoholic but still tolerable. The mouthfeel is decent, heavy, and thick. The taste has some bitterness, mile hops, but it is smooth overall. An excellent beer.

On tap at Capones. Dark brown (almost a hint of purple) with a coffee head. Taste is very complex with hints of vanilla and caramel. Very impressive beer but the ABV hits you quickly.
