COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered Monumental® IPA has flavours of citrus and pine resin and floral aromas combined with a malty caramel background. This IPA shows a delicious, yet elusive balance between hop bitterness and malt flavours. We believe that Monumental® IPA is a great example of a complex and balanced East Coast-style IPA. GABF 2012 Bronze, 2015 Silver in the English-style IPA category.

OldMrCrow (3175) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 21, 2023
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2023 Draft at the Fairmont Old school malty, milder hops. I can see why they call it english but it really isn't. It's a mellow throwback to the early 2000s. Perfectly drinkable.

Svesse (14202) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2022
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2022 (Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 22 May 2022) Amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, toffee, citrus and pine needles. Fruity, malty taste with notes of apricots, citrus, caramel, pine needles and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, going in the English ESB direction. Nice one.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2021 Strong fruity flavors that have a dull taste. No date on the bottle so there is no way to know how old it is. Nothing special here. I have had worse.

beergetty (16) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2020 A monument - typically a statue to commemorate a significant event or individual. Well, this is an IPA that should be commemorated. A mix of American hops and English malt that makes me think of a backyard keg party in 1776. A great example of an east coast IPA. God bless America & the Queen.

AWS9 (1437) - Mississauga, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2020 Bottle. Orange-gold pour. Heavy malts, caramel. Some pine hops background, giving it a somewhat sharp bitterness in the finish. Oily, creamy. Emphasis on the ale-like character though.
