Malty, albeit somewhat chalky and grainy. Semi-sweet but not artifical tasting on the palate, some citrus, with some bready caramel notes. not extremely well balanced and probably not something I would seek out again, but not horrible. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2008 Golden orange colored, moderate head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is heavy on grain, with some alcohol and sugaryness. Light caramel and hops as well. Medium bodied, grainy, rough finish with some alcohol. Sloppy IMO. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Wheaty nose with some grainy malty toffee. Flat out middle of the road malts in the finish. Flavor was mild and kind of boring. Still not too bad. boFNjackson (1426), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma is slightly funky, like sugared malt mixed with rotten fruit. Flavors are better though, with refreshing hops and fruity esters and malt that are reminiscent of a barley wine, but way more mellowed out of course. Kind of a Tangy citrus finish. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2008 Draft. Clear orange-amber, dense orange-tinted head leaving early lace. Fruity toffee aroma. Sweet malt (marzipan) and light fruit (apricot) in perfect balance, very flavourful. Moderate bitter finish. Very good. mbgrayson (176), Anaconda, Montana, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2008 Darker golden color with no head. Caramel malts are strong in the aroma with some sour fruits - maybe apples, a little butter and thats about it. Caramel and light butter, a touch of sour fruit too. Not real hoppy, maybe a little spicy if anything. A little alcohol is detectable too. It is alright.
