Theres the old stnadard caned stout color change, ending with tan on black. Aroma is faintly chocolate, and nothing too special. Flavor is a somewhat chalky roasted chocolate feel. It ends with too chalky a mouthfeel, and a thin on at that.

Yes, it goes for an overwhelmingly chocolate taste, but I imagine some folks could be fooled that this is even a beer. This is like a dark chocolate milkshake with a dash of liquor. ABV is kind of lame for $5 a bottle. But like John Travolta says in Pulp Fiction, "I dunno if it was worth 5 dollars but it’s pretty gosh darn good!"

Nitro can. Understated hops aroma w/ some coffee hints, true to style. Short but dense tan head. Mellow dark chocolate bitterness balanced quite well w/ sweet dark malt, resulting in "neutral" character. Medium-bodied w/ creamy mouthfeel. Lingering malty finish. Satisfying and surprisingly light at the same time. Very well done.

Real Chocolate makes all the difference in this one. Pours out thick and a great foamy head. Hopsy flavour behind the delicious chocolate enhances the flavour rather than detracting from it.

Nitrocan- Picked up at Basin Brewing Supply in Klamath Falls, OR. Pours a nice black with a fluffy nitro head. Aroma is kind of lacking, but has a slight roasty/chocolaty nose. Mouthfeel was really light which was interesting because nitro usually makes for a big silky mouthfeel. Flavor was nice, but I felt it was lacking as well. It did get better as it warmed but, it was still disappointing.

Bottle. A - Deep black color with a decent sized head that is a dark tan, creamy and foamy. Very good retention with good lacing left. S - Roasted dark and milk chocolate. Rich, creamy and a mix of sweet and chocolate bitterness. T - A lot of bittersweet and milk chocolate flavors. The beginning is sweet, and then it gives way to a more bitter chocolate. There is also very minimal hop taste giving a miniscule earthy hop bitterness. Hints of espresso and licorice also are present. M - On the lighter side of medium body. Decent carbonation. Pretty smooth and creamy, but just a touch watery. D - Good drinkability. Smooth and creamy and a lot of chocolate flavors but not overly sweet or bitter. Drinkability probably relies a good amount of how much you like chocolate. Notes: Very nice beer that combines the bitterness and sweetness of chocolate well. A little too thin and watery, but it has enough creaminess and flavor to compensate for that. Very nice beer, especially if you like chocolate.

Dark color. Taste of chocolate and caramel with a hint of roasted malt. Nice bitter and a bit dry aftertaste.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small pale beige head. The aroma is mostly of sweet chocolate, chocolate syrup and caramel. Mild roasty notes. The flavor is very sweet and the chocolate and chocolate syrup dominates together with notes of caramel, toffee and mild roasted malts. The finish is mildly bitter and somewhat dry with notes of leafs, malts and chocolate. Medium body, easy on the palate. All in all, sweet as hell and not complex at all, but it’s quite tasty.
