| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 1, 2004 Pours slightly hazy honey color with 2.0 cm white head. Aroma is hoppy, sweet, citrus, and caramel. This is basically a very hoppy beer with an ok malt balance, but pretty one-dimensional. There is too much going on here. Start is nice, but finish is too garbeled up. AmEricanbrew (2238), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 Clear copper color/ beige head. Pungent grass, piney hop aromas. medium body with soft carbonation. Big bitter citrus, pine hop flavors on a mildly sweet caramel malty base brew. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2004 Appearance: bright orange color, big, booming creamy-colored head, that settles as a thin ring, but never exactly quits.
Aroma: bingity, bangity, BOOM! fresh and lively with hops, grapefruit, tangerine, pine and more, awake, alert, fruit aplenty, very nicely hoppy, a delight to drink in the nose! Mmmmm!!!
Taste: Ah, very nice...very fruity, but not too, decent malt back-up, tingly hoppiness, tasty, but somehow not quite enough...it doesn’t fill the senses as completely as some other highly hopped ales I’ve encountered in my beery travels. Becomes a bit sharp, dissonant, maybe, bright citrusy flavor, lemony moreover...I think a different approach in the flavor would help. The body is medium, finish, just enough, not too anything...I almost want to label it a failure, but I’m kinder than that. For a really hoppy IPA that succeeds, I’d point at Rogue and Three Floyds and others, but this one takes a wrong turn. Not quite right.

Earthy, grassy body, estery and spicy, floral, with some Fuggles character and bubblegum. Bready, caramely body with grassy, spicy hops, bubblegum, and potpourri, including rose hips. Has an iced tea character. Medium-bodied with rich hops complexity. Interesting and very good. EithCubes (2224), Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2007 Bottle. Nose: lots of sweet grapefruit and lychee and resin with hints of soap. Deep orange body with a creamy beige head and medium carbonation. Brutally bitter taste, kinda overdone, and there’s no noticeable sweetness or sourness to provide relief. Bone dry hoppy finish and after. Just tons of dry hops. Touch of pine/resin. Full body and a relatively smooth trip down. This is very robust but not particularly enjoyable. sebletitje (2176), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2008 On tap. Pours amber. Nose is hoppy and also humid moldy from a second hop.
Well balanced between the hops and malt, giving a little thick mouthfeel.
I was hoping for a beer that was very hoppy, this one falls a little flat.
A good IPA nonetheless. whaleman (2172), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 23, 2005 Deep golden-orange body with a faint haze and a uniform sudsy grayish-white head that completely faded. Aroma has an element of cinnamon spice with some light toasted malt. Nice blend of malt and hop varieties. Just lightly sweet. Spicy, almost peppery, malty flavor. Tastes like a mouthfull of pine needles. Resinous bitterness and mouthfeel but in an appealing way. Decent IPA.
