Our Imperial Coconut Porter is a stronger version of robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. TCHO cocoa nibs were blended with the toasted coconut during the maturation process to intensify the aroma of coconut and dark chocolate.

Black with a dark creamy head. Roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, some toasted coconut. Not as much coconut as I expected as the powerful malt profile overwhelmed it. Still, this sticky brew is quite delicious.

Served in a 12oz tulip glass at Beer Revolution in Edmonton pouring black in color with a finger of off-white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is roasted grains and chocolate with a hint of coconut. Taste is a roasted grain and hop bitterness with a chocolate malty sweetness finishing with a little bit of coconut. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. A nicely crafted brew that I recommend to others.

From notes. On draft at Hunahpuís Day 2016 in Tampa on March 12. The pour is a very dark brown color with a larger medium tan colored head that falls down slowly, leaving a little bit of scattered, soapy lace on the glass. The aroma is pretty great. I love some coconut. This one just doesnít disappoint. There is a heavy chocolate in the middle of this one as well, and I like that. There is a little bit of booziness and a strong sweetness on the back end. Itís sweet and bitter at different stages. The flavor is a little different. There is a lot more sweet chocolate and the coconut takes on a roasted lead. It isnít terrible, but I was expecting a sweet coconut, which didnít deliver. Itís pretty basic though. The mouth feel is light, but well carbonated with a lingeringly sweet coconut finish. There is a hint of bitterness behind it, but itís all over the place. This one isnít bad by any means, it just needs a little time to mellow out. Or, they could barrel age it, and Iím sure I wouldnít hate it.

Draft at Maui Brewing in Kihei. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, roasted grain),with a strong note of coconut, other notes of vanilla, whisky, oak. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately moderately alcoholic. Big coconut and whisky aroma (no idea where the oaky note is coming from), and rich and decadent in the mouth without being fatiguing. Nice.

Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver; 414ml
Black color, small beige head. Lean body with just moderate sweetness; the chocolate component is very good, while the coconut is not too strong, although itís evident, mostly in the final.
Balanced and tasty.
