12oz single from Capone’s Bottle Shop, Norristown, PA...pours DEEP amber, off white head...piney resin aroma with orange, apricot and hops...all of this carries over into the flavor, citrusy...oily mouthfeel...how is this only an APA...this is a BIG APA...not big on alcohol, but big on favor, body, and character...awesome.

Mar 19, 2010 Oh so good! I’ll call this an AIPA ("ALMOST IPA") because it’s flavor profile is so reminiscent, but has a little twist that pulls you back into APA land.
12oz pours a glowing orange-amber with a tiny white head that quickly dissipates. Great aroma of pine, nuts, and fresh earth. Flavor is hoppy at the front and the back, but dances through a great balance of sweet and tart fruit, bready malt, and a deep, hearty savory flavor I haven’t quite put my finger on.
Very palatable, not oily or slick at all. Hop presence isn’t overwhelming, but definitely recognizable. Balanced carbonation.

Mar 18, 2010 Bottle. Clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma is hops, fruit, grapefruit and citrus. Flavor is hops grapefruit and citrus. It has a lovely long and bitter aftertaste.

One of the best Pale Ales on the market. Not necessarily an IPA, but about as close to one as you’ll get. Not only tremendous hop flavor, but enough malts to balance this out and make it one of the best beers at under $10 /6 pack.

Mar 17, 2010 One of the best. I’m not sure why they opt to call it an APA instead of an IPA, but this is a really drinkable beer that still has nice hop notes. Not much different than 3F pride and joy in my book--just a little more hoppy. Everything about this beer is nice. Nice nose, nice little head, beautiful amber color, nice hop on the front to mid palate that doesn’t linger like most IPAs that are a bit bigger. This is right in the sweet spot.

Mar 16, 2010 12oz bottle into Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Pours a crystal clear copper color with a medium white head. Aroma is of cascades with a hint of caramel malts. Medium mouth-feel, excellent carbonation. Caramel malt flavors with a bitter end (warriors). Excellent pale ale, one of 3F’s finest.

Mar 13, 2010 Dark orange with a small white-orange head. Aroma is cirtus and extremely hoppy. Taste also very happy but also sweet with a lot of citrus, mostly grapefruit. Body is medium light. One of my favorite beers I can get at the liquor store by my apartment.

Mar 11, 2010 Tasted from a twelve ounce bottle. Pours clear amber with a one finger beige head. The aromas are lightly roasted malts, hops, and prune juice. On the palate, the flavors are lemongrass, and then hoppy bitterness. There is a hint of the malt on the mid-palate, but the bitterness is the main flavor. On the palate, everything is fairly medium. The body, carbonation, and finish are all in the middle. Overall, this is a very high quality beer, perfect for sessions. I could drink this one all night long.
