| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Mar 18, 2010 Grapefruity cascades roll in from offshore, muscling out the minty and piney inland aromas. A tsunami of bitterness washes over you, then a sweet carmel undercurrent pulls you up for air. Hop flavors and bitters keep coming in waves, till the alcohol hits like a longboard to the ass, leaving you gasping in the sand. Poor attempt at prose - excellent beer. Aroma is of grapefruit, floral notes, malts and grain. Taste is bitter with the grapefruit coming through strong. Finishes sweet, nice light mouthfeel. wyzzywyz22 (938), Wirral, Merseyside, England

A hazy dark orange pour with a big fading chefs hat white head. Nice bit of lacing. Aroma of orange grapefruit and piney resinous hop. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Flavour had a suitably heavy duty hop profile with some great tropical fruit notes. Great balance and loved the level of bitterness. Loads to like here. Bloody luverly. Cool label too.

Slightly hazy orange pour, medium carbonation and strong in your face hops aroma. Flavor was excellent, fresh woody hops, piney grapefruit citrus, and finished dry and crisp. All around solid IPA, I wish could get this here. Mora2000 (564), Dallas, Texas, USA

The beer pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very nice with citrus, pine and oranges. The flavor is citrus with medium bitterness. You also get some pine and resin notes in there as well. Medium mouthfeel and medium-high carbonation. obxdude10 (1602), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 10, 2010 What a fantastic IPA! This beer has everything an outstanding IPA should have. It pours a cloudy dark golden color with a huge, thick and bubbly white head. There is a ton of lacing left around the glass as well. The aroma is very powerful and inviting, with notes of pine, citrus, earth, pepper and a slight bready maltiness. The flavors are very well-balanced and absoutely delicious. The Wipeout has an enourmous hop profile, with a ton of wood, citrus and hop resin notes. The delicious balance seems to come from a slight bready maltiness with some earthy hints. The aftertaste is extremely dry and floral, with some a piney and hoppy spiciness. This really is an excellent IPA! morgens2 (4), Denver, Colorado, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 8, 2010 22 oz bottle bought at Argonaut. Pours a hazy, honey golden color with a thick, beautiful head that lingers of quite awhile and makes the first few sips incredible. Aroma is faint (that could just because I was slightly stuffed up), but smells of citrusy hops. Slight bitter taste--a generally light IPA, which makes it all the more drinkable. Faint grapefruit and peach-hoppy taste on the nose, with an oily, smooth mouthfeel. Would definitely buy again, especially for the $4 price tag. Fred82 (531), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Appearance : Hazy amber small head. Extensive lacing.
Aroma : Lots of mango and passion fruits. Resinous and peppery. Some alcohol.
Taste : Alcohol and malt. Resinous and peppery hops. Finish is alcoholic and peppery. Quite bitter. Warm finish.
Overall : I like the mango fruity profile but not the peppery one. A bit too much alcohol on nose and taste. Still a great brew !
