Commercial Description:
Sweetgrass is crisp and fragrant with a generous yet smooth hop character. The sweet bouquet and spicy flavor come from the combination of five hops and Idaho grown barleys. The color? We call is “Suntan”!

12oz bottle. Pours a very cloudy, particle filled, darker orange body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a lasting, foamy lacing that sticks to the glass heavily. Aroma is crystal malts and caramels with some sweeter, light pine and floral citrus. Flavor is sweet and flowery. Distinct crystal maltiness, soapy earthy bitterness, citrus hops with just a touch of astringency, and a bit of toasty toffee. Finishes dry with a lingering, sweet citrus earth and caramel. Palate is medium to full with a soapy carbonation. Overall, not bad at all, just unimpressive. Balanced and plenty of taste, but another reminder of a decent homebrewed IPA.

Pours golden with white head, aroma is hoppy and sweet. Taste up front is citrusy hops that goes right into malt sweetness, that is a bit overwhelming and is bitter at the end. Good IPA!

Bottle. Pours a light orange-gold with an enormous bubbly yellow-tinged head. The aroma is fresh orange peel and celery initially, then as the head recedes, citrus comes to dominate. The malts are straw-like, but the hops are fresh and citrussy, the finish crisp and bitter. Feels lighter in the mouth, but not in a bad way, and the flavours are nice. Refreshing.

Bottle. Pours beautiful clear orange with a softly fruity scent: ripe lemon, tangerine, navel orange and red grapefruit. Body is soft, buttery, with a medium length, dry finish. Flavor is subtle, hops are there but not aggressive. Light citrus skin, minerals, flowery finish. Pretty solid drinking overall, though not distinctive enough for my tastes.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Sparky27. Thanks! Pours a hazy caramel color with a medium frothy head. Nice sticky lacing and decent head retention. Aroma is bitter resiny hops with sweet malty notes to balance. Taste is very similar. Slightly bitter resiny and citrus hops with caramel malts and bit of nuttiness. Smooth, medium bodied and well balanced. This is an excellent IPA.

Bottle. Poured a straw yellow color with a decent two finger white head. This beer left plenty of lacing on the side of the glass as it went. Some floaters in the beer. Aroma was spruce, pine and hops. Flavor was faint hops, pine, and resin. A bitter aftertaste. A very decent IPA.

bottle. Pours a hazy orange with little to no head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, smells like sugar. Tastes sweet, definite orange taste with a very smooth hoppy spice. This is a classic, don’t give up on it based on the aroma beer. suprisingly tasty!
