Ap: Deep true brown, almost opaque; very small light mocha head, leaves a ring of thin, medium bubbles. T: Clean alcohol and lots of ripe pineapple and burnt sugar; sherry and nougat notes; coffee and slight fruit leathers; bitterness is medium-low; peppery booze on the finish; very peppery. P: Very firm body despite extremely low carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: A really unique strong English ale; lots of pineapple and burnt sugar notes; rich and powerful, with a clean booze backbone.
