UPDATED: OCT 2, 2020 How: Bottle. Where: Tasting at Björn, 2020-09-17. Appearance: Hazy dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma: Roasted malt, caramel, coffee, dried fruit. Body: Medium body and carbonation. Flavour: Roasted malt, caramel, dried fruit, some spices.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2020 Bottled, at Beerbear tasting. Clear dark brown, small head. Caramelly nose. Very sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, black currant and saccharine. Sugar lingers.

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a English pint glass. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is caramel, medium body, lower carbonation, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is caramel, chocolate, and a little subtle fruit (mostly plumb).

Love this Beer. The Brooklyn Choc Stout is surprisingly a little too sweet and sickly for me so this is a perfect Girl Brew :)

Ar: Fig, burnt sugar; ash and red wine grape. caramelized pineapple. Ap: Deep true brown, almost opaque; very small light mocha head, leaves a ring of thin, medium bubbles. T: Clean alcohol and lots of ripe pineapple and burnt sugar; sherry and nougat notes; coffee and slight fruit leathers; bitterness is medium-low; peppery booze on the finish; very peppery. P: Very firm body despite extremely low carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: A really unique strong English ale; lots of pineapple and burnt sugar notes; rich and powerful, with a clean booze backbone.

Bottle from Sainsbury at Machester Piccadilly railway station. Poured dark brown with an average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, light coffee, dark fruits and alcohol. Toward heavy sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

An old ale with sweet stout flavours. Forward alcohol and a nice colour and head. However it really wasn’t my thing.
