UPDATED: NOV 15, 2020 Old notes from Sep 2015. 330ml bottle picked up on my Iceland trip. Poured at home in Jersey, it's jet black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, vanilla & burnt malt. Medium body. Dry slightly bitter finish. Outstanding

Draught at Micro Bar, Reyjavik. Pours an opaque black, with a moderate tan head. Cream, milk chocolate and meaty notes in the aroma. Mild herbal hops up front, sweet milk chocolate and roasty notes. Decent enough. Not the most complex stout around.

Bottle - 330ml. Opaque, black body with a thin, beige creamy head. Rich malty aroma with chocolate, bourbon-like, and woody hints. Its well balanced malty taste carries hoppy, woody, and chocolate notes. Ends with a slightly roasty finish. Enjoyable.

Un stout classique, équilibré sur des notes de café et de chocolat sur un fond houblonné, la bouche est à la fois complexe et digeste, ronde et fraîche. Bien équilibré dans l'ensemble.

Draft at the Microbar in Reykjavik. Black with a tan head. Aroma has strong roasted notes, but also burnt rubber & circuitry. Taste is bitter, dry, somewhat monotone with a dry, roasted bitterness. Body is medium, oily. Not the best example of the style.
