Aroma: caramel, molasses, dark malts, chocolate, light straw. Appearance: hazy, dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: subtle sweets expand, molasses, honey, caramel, light toasted malts, remains dry sweet, a touch bitter in the finish. Overall: very nice Doppelbock, great aroma, lovely, not too sweet palate. Bottle from the brewer, Patrik Feller.

courtesy of Patrik Feller - dark brown colour with a little foam left; malty and slightly chocolatey, caramelish nose; full-bodied, some sweetness and a light earthy bitterness; long chocolatey malty finish with lingering bitterness - great !

Bottle 50 cl from 3 Sinne in Steffisburg (CH). Dark red-brown beer with average head, a little sticky to the glass. Perfume very malty, chocolate, vanilla, hops and notes diacetyl. The mouth is also soft, malted intense and rather round. Toffy-licorice and bitter-roasted, some sour notes, toasted bread and alcohol. Much better to the taste than to the first nose. It finishes long, complex, hoppy and licorice.
