Apr 10, 2008 Bomber. Pours cloudy hazy orange/gold nice head atop. Mandarin lemon and alcohol in the nose. Full bodied with progressive spice, coriander, mandarin, and alcohol mouth. Has some abbey characteristics. Leaves a spicy hoppy yeast taste in the long finish.

smell is caramel, spice, roasted malt.
taste is thick and creamy, caramel, spice, malt, few hops in the back, end is on the thick side.

Jan 14, 2010 Bomber. Surprisingly good. I liked it. Pours lightly hazy golden with a medium sized white head and good lace. Smells bready and sweet with some yeast and fruit. Tastes of sweet cereal malts and bread with spices, maybe cinnamon and clove. A hint of fruit and a good dose of alcohol. Medium body, good carbonation.

Dec 3, 2005 Bottle. Medium frothy head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy and fruit. Flavor is very similar, very well balanced and complex. It is malty but light, with a decently warming alcohol burn in the end.

Dec 25, 2008 Aroma of sour apple, yeast, and spice. Brass colored pour with a fluffy white head and ample carbonation. Flavor exhibits orange peel, white pepper, and honey. The alcohol is present but not distracting. A bit above average.

Feb 7, 2008 I can’t believe this only rates an 89. I found it to be excellent. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a big, fat white head. Nice fruity, yeasty aroma. Rich flavor full of sweet fruitness with a dash of spice. Nice and full on the palate. A wonderful Belgian strong ... actually one of the few (outside of Unibroue) non-Belgian breweries to nail the style, in my opinion.
