Bouteille de 330 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel fruité et de céréales. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée foncée avec une moyenne densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de caramel et d’épices avec une pointe fruitée. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèremnt minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. (Rating #2914)

In short: An doughy and annoyingly yeasty Belgian golden ale. Unpleasant.
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed fresh a few weeks after receiving it through private importation
The look: Almost clear dark golden body topped by a very small off-white head
In long: Ultra yeasty nose, yeast and more yeast. Taste has some caramel, some buttery cookies, some slightly toasted white bread, light unfocussed fruitiness, wet wood, spicy hops. Very doughy. But all those flavours are overwhelmed by an excessive yeast presence and the taste is annoyingly messy/muddy. Way too yeasty to be enjoyable. That thing is dirtier than a half-naked big-breasted Swedish top-model after 30 minutes of mud wrestling with a pig in rut. I just really like to think about stuff like that.

Bottled. Poured moderately clear smoked amber with a creamy, sticky cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up toasted darker fruits, berries, and tart fruit skins (apple primarily).. warm with a nice peppery yeast strain.. spicy and enjoyable. The flavor was led by tart fruits and peppery yeast with fruity meat and bready notes beneath.. spicy and warm with great balance.. long finish. Medium-bodied and well carbonated on the palate.. again the balance was right on.. very tasty stuff!

33oml bottle, hazy amber hue, with a big fluffly white-beige head, leaving some belgian laces, yeasty, fruity, earthy grainy cereal, toasted, biscuity, caramel malt nose, with some ripe, pulp apple, cookie dough notes, and some mild soft cookie, toffee accents in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, spiced, toasted, bready, biscuity, caramel malt, cookie dough character with some mild gingerbread cake, soft cookie flavours, with a cereal, toffeeish, caramel undertone, leading towards a malty, fruity, cookie finish.

1st October 2008. Cloudy brown beer. Unreamrkable beer - malty with a touchof fruit. Not too dry or bitter. Easy drinking but doesn’t linger long in the memory!

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is mildly warmingly spiced, and the flavour is spiced and mildly bitter. Overall an average Belgian strong ale.

Bottle: Amber coloured, lots of floaties visible, big fluffy and rocky off-white head; solid sweetish-fruity(oranges) nose with a distinctive hoppy backbone, some alcohol detectable; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; solid hoppy and sweet-fruity finish, slightly alcoholic and tart. Well crafted, a bit on the sweet side.......
