UPDATED: APR 12, 2024 33cl bottle pours a clear, burnt gold with plenty of rocky white head. Nose doesn't really ring amber, it's more like a straight forward lager. Malt and some toast, a little dough. Flavor follows. This is fairly pedestrian.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2023 Draught @ the brewpub, Schaffhausen. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of grain and yeast, with touches of malt and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish notes of malt and yeast, and touches of caramel. Bitter and estery aftertaste with touches of malt. Reasonable.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2019 I had the opportunity to try this beer, in the dining-car from Lausanne to Bern, going to Colmar. The body has a perfect touch of copper color, average carbonatio, clear, thin and white foam. In my point of view, it was a good vienna lager, a good balance of malt, bread and a metalic side, generous note of perle or saaz hop, round and refreshing.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2019 Ich weiß nicht, ob dieses Bier noch produziert wird -ich habe es anno 2013 getrunken und kann mich noch an den malzig-samtigen Geschmack erinnern. Es ist ein sanftes Bier, das nicht zu süß, aber trotzdem ordentlich karamell-malzig ist. Ein braves Bier, das aber schnell langweilig wird.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2019 Pours copper with medium head. Strong nose of malt and caramel. Taste of malt, caramel and bread. Saturated flavor. Very good lager

Review: 50 cl. Can of Eidgenoss: ABV: 5% vol Really dull looking can has a picture of Swiss cross/flag on the can, but it doesn’t really stand out amongst all the other beers on offer. On pour, dark orange coloured beer with a reddish hue and a nice big frothy white head, all looks good. Head maintains and there is also some nice lacing. The smell was lagery, got the barely and the yeast, the malts, and fruits all on the nose. Very nice and piercing, a nice smell. On taste get a nice smooth pleasant drink, that is very tasty, not bitter and very easy to quench. Nice enough mouthfuls, not bad, I like it, it is very good, very easy to drink. Malty and light bodied. A long lasting pleasant taste that is left in the mouth for one to savour. Creamy mouthfuls. Very smooth. Not a large array of flavours, and it is very light but it is all nice and easy to drink, very easy to drink. Lovely. Quiet strong actually, definitely felt the alcohol after. Like it a lot, very refreshing, recommended.

I guess not to everybody’s taste, but I enjoyed it! Amber coloured, smooth,yeasty. Very good.

Brownish copper color with foam layer. Sweet ambery nose. Sweet taste with a sticky mouth feeling with a round almost berry fruity hint. Sticky calm aftertaste.
