Emu Bitter is for those who prefer a more bitter beer. A trace astringent finish results from the high hoppiness and medium body.
Previously 4.5% ABV

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2023 Poured a clear amber with good sized dense fluffy white head, unexpectedly pretty. Aroma is light sour grain and dish soap. Taste is the same but with additional of wet brown cardboard, with flavours ramping to bitterness. Light body, slight oily mouthfeel, moderate finish length. Overall, not a masterful beer but better than the drain pour I was expecting.

If you get to your local ALDI and realise you don't have a coin for the trolley, pop over to the drive through across the carpark and buy a can of EB. Then you've got change for the trolley as well as a beer to drink while you're doing the shopping! Well it worked for me anyway.

375ml can into glass. Label says 'Beer for Western Australia'. Unfortunately not FROM Western Australia. Golden beer with foamy white head. Laces well. Medium carbonation. Nose is over-cooked vegetables served next to an open drain. Light body, some weird sweetness in there. Finish is metallic. Horrible macro nightmare that looks good in the glass.

Is the beer on the can label bigger than the mans head? This is the better question when drinking this beer than how good is the beer? Hot work sweaty mans beer. An appreciated lager that is not really supposed to be held in the mouth for feel and palate referencing. It would suit Asian foods as well as any Asian Lager. This is not my beer of choice but given no choice or offered an ice cold one miles from nowhere after a surf trip in the desert it is gold.

Bottle from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants 300416. This beer reminds me so much of the cheap crappy beer I used to drink in my younger days. Wet cardboard comes to mind, along with soap. Not pleasant at all.

BB 20/06/16. Poured a crystal clear amber with a 5mm bright white open foam head that diminished quickly but laced well. Carbonation very low and coarse. Aroma subtly of malt with no obvious hops; very lager like. Taste of sweet malt with no real bitterness. Light body. Crisp, clean and refreshing with a coarse mouthfeel and bland (ie no real bitterness) on the finish. More like a pale lager.

very light, not very bitter. Pale golden with thick, fluffy head, very grainy. Slick, smooth and creamy, flat, abrupt finish.
