| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 12, 2010 2007: Color is copper with just a hint of red. There is a good, fluffy head. Bubbles of carbonation floating onward and upward. The copper color resembles a rich dark orange.
Scent is a nice mild "ale" scent (you all know what I mean). A ihint of fruit here, and a touch of flowery there. Just a smidgen of deep cherry. The dry malt smell is light, but pleasant enough.
The first sip is an understated bitter malt. There is a combination of dry malt, but with a bitter accent. Has a dark (black?) cherry undertone. The hops are light. Sweet fruit and bitter malt ping-pong in the mouth. Actually sweeter than a normal ale.
The thickness is a nice creamy feel that leaves a film behind. It’s easy to drink, even if it is just a *little* too sweet for my liking. Still, it’s quite a solid, sweeter-than-normal ale. Nisse666 (693), Göteborg, Sweden

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2010 Pours a reddish amber with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is caramel, malt, hops. Flavor is caramel, malt, hops, bread fruit and nuts with a good amount of bitterness and a good dose of malt to back it up. I like it better than SABL. elgiacomo (159), Chickamauga, Georgia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2010 Updated: Mar 5, 201012oz bottle best by June 2010. Part of the Brewmaster’s Mix Pack. Probably 1-1.5 months old, pretty fresh. Pours amber with a nice foamy two finger off-white head that maintains a nice cap and leaves rings of lacing. Aroma is of medium strength and features sweet bready, caramel malts, some yeast and a touch of floral hops. Flavor is mostly caramel malts, some bread, medium sweetness, with a good balancing hop bite on the finish. Mouthfeel is slick and well carbonated. Clean and easy drinking. Had this once before from a Summer pack, it was the best one of that bunch, and so far this is the best of the current bunch. Better than Fat Tire, cheaper too. mouse725 (83), Albany, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 2, 2010 I wouldn’t turn it down if you offered me one, but I wouldn’t buy it either. Light aroma of copper with some nuttiness, typical lighter bodied mouthfeel of Sam, balanced malt and hop, short malty finish. Overall impression: "beer-y".
