| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2006 Tap at Abbey. Pours with a brownish r color and a small brown head.
The flavor was something I could not put my finger on: it starts with that note that is perhaps some kind of spice(cloves), or even pine, a bit unusual. This gives way to more easily defined nuances such as burnt malts. lachesis (760), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2005 Warm chesnut color, a little cloudy, and with a nice creamy beige froth. Refreshing nose for a brown beer with accents of dry raisins, and Colheita Portwineit. It has also hints of nuts, and fresh ripe Black berries nicely utherbuild with herbs and spices. The taste is round light sweet and has faint fruity accents. In the afthertaste there is and littlr yeasty accent with a fine well integrated bitter touch. madquacker (755), Canberra ACT, Australia

The beer is slightly complex in the mouthfeel and finishes very smoothly. A winner, a total winner.
