Commercial Description:
This unfiltered German-style wheat beer is brewed for summer enjoyment with a bavarian yeast to give it the refreshing spicy overtones that make weizens so unique. Whitewater Weizen is as exciting and exhilarating as a run through the rapids.

Sampled from bottle: pours a hazey golden colour with a full creamy white head. Aroma is sweet, hints of yeast, lemon zest and soft bananna. Soft and spicey mouthfeel with wheat and subtle caramel in the finish.

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a white head. Kind of odd earth, bread, grass, clove, spice, banana notes. Some off flavors. Not my favorite but could have been worse.

Poured from bottle to pint glass. 2 finger head at best, whichi quickly dissolved. Watery, but malty with no hint of banana or bubble gum as prior reviews have stated. Just watery inside-of-a-can taste. No spice as promoted in the description either. Take a pass on this middling brew.

nose is subdued, slight touch of river water. appearance is darker then standard, a strong amber. flavor is of subtle banana and bubblegum. palate is the real standout here, this is enticingly soft and silky.

12oz bottle. Thick brown-orange color with a white head. Pleasant banana-clove aroma. Relatively mild carbonation for the style, which accentuates the smooth creaminess. Mild lemony clove bitterness balances it out. A touch maltier than your typical Hefeweizen. Overall pretty middle of the road, drinkable, and unoffensive.

[Bottle] Pours a hazy golden color with a nice amount of white head and suspended yeast. Aroma of banana and clove is somewhat muted compared to other beers in the style. Taste includes lots of wheat malt and light bubble gum notes, but the body is on the weak side. Grainy finish. Pretty much a middle of the road weizen.

A vigorous pour musters an almost three-finger thick, pale tan colored head in my 25cl tulip glass. The beer is quite clear with an amber-copper hue, but shows a touch of haze and an orange-gold color when held up to the light. The aroma smells of cloves, aromatic fruit and bananas up front with dry, wheat-grain notes becoming more prominent towards the end. Aroma is decent, it does not have any off notes, but does seem to be lacking that little extra nudge to get it to greatness.

Clove flavors and lightly sweet grain up front produce some sweetness before the carbonation kicks in (as it is rolling across the tongue). The carbonation dries things out a bit and provides a bit of a peppery bite. This has a decent body to it, light enough to be drinkable, but with a bit of a silky texture that I like to find at least some of in a good Weizen. This finishes with a touch of wheat tartness as well as some lingering clove phenolics. There is also a touch of apple like fruitiness here as well as a touch of cracker like grain.

A decent example of a Hefe Weizen. It could use a bit more grain complexity and texture (would asking for a decoction mash be too unreasonable?), but this is certainly serviceable if one is in the mood for a Weizen.

Comes off better viewed as a witbier than a hefe. Grass and coriander on the aroma. Beatiful pour, slightly hazy medium amber with about two fingers of white head, continuous sparkle. Leaves sheets of lace down the glass. Coriander at the front, grainy malts, with a bit of tart citrus before a finish that somehow both clean and bready. Some banana and gumball emerge as it warms up. Juicy palate.
