UPDATED: JUL 14, 2023 Pours deep golden amber. No head. Nose is hay, salt, brown bread, boiled sweets. Palate is moderate and nice carbonation. Taste is lemon strepsils, orange zest, light esters.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2022 From the cask at Craft Beer Co. - Covent Garden. Clear light amber with a frothy white head. Orange resin bouquet. Tasty with grain and cereal notes that are interrupted by mellow hoppy bitterness and hints of orange zest. Good body and mouthfeel. Not that I’m an expert but this seems like the quintessential cask bitter. Enjoyed indoors after braving the balmy English winter

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2022 (Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 29 May 2022) Amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with caramel, dried apricots, orange peel and slightly earthy hops. Malty taste with notes of caramel, dried apricots, toast and a balanced earthy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made bitter. Nice one.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2022 On cask at Fyne Ales, pours a clear copper with a tiny head. Nose brings out toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is fairly subtle, with bready malt and a hint of caramel. Weak and watery but there’s nothing wrong with it.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2022 Creamy off white head stayed on a vivid amber coloured body. Fruity & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & tingly on the back. Spiced berries, raisin, malt & toffee tastes with a tangy bitter finish. Good one.
