| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 13, 2009 Location: I venture into the Rock Bottom Bethesda every now and again because it is so close, this is one of their standard offerings, and I’ve had it a few times on tap
Overall Impression:
I actually think that this one is the best of their standard offerings. For it’s style it’s at lease a solid C, while the rest of the Rock Bottom Bethesda always available beers , in my opinion, are at best D+ beers. It is a little thin though. nickd717 (1630), Palo Alto, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 26, 2009 Tap at Bethesda location. Amber color, caramel malt on the aroma, caramel malt and mild English-style hops on the flavor. Body a little light. Nothing special, just an amber/red ale. patrick767 (2091), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

It has a light caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet caramel malt with some mild hops. It has a light body and light carbonation. It’s an average session brew, no more. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 22, 2008 From draught sample at Bethesda. Light hoppy aroma with just a bit of dull herbal hops. Not very aromatic. Medium amber with light haze and small off-white head. Medium-light watery body with medium carbonation. Starts with carbonic acidity an a bit of pale malt. Neutral fruity character before a heavy hit of hop bitterness. Bitter is too harsh in the finish and is not balanced. Astringent after. shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2007 On draft at Bethesda location, have had it numerous times. Liked it today more than ever before. Had a nice caramel/toffee, nuts and fruit. Some light hop bittering. Decent palate. Sweet flavor, but I liked that element.
