Alengrin (11013) - Gent, BELGIUM - JAN 12, 2015
Witbier made with the same ingredients as lambic - not as weird as it may seem, seen the historical link between the two styles. Hazy peach blonde beer with medium cream white head; wheatiness in the nose, bready, peachy esters. Soft, mellow taste, gentle wheaty sourishness, yeasty with a light spiciness, subtle herbal hop bitterishness in the finish. Simple, yet balanced, quite refined and very quenching. A side by side tasting with its organic version would prove interesting.

Scopey (24158) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - DEC 27, 2013
Bottle (couple of years old I expect) at home. It pours hazy golden with a thick white head. The nose is . The taste is soft, sweetish, doughy, slightly musty, banana and some spice. The taste is bitter-sweet, spice, hay, dough, light candy, banana bread and some sweet apple/pear. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nothing much exciting going on here. A pretty so-so Witbier.

Koelschtrinker (28835) - Brewver-Town, GERMANY - MAY 5, 2011
Test vom 31.5.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,10,13,11,11,11

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some yeast. I don’t get too much spice or fruit in the aroma, which is disappointing. The flavor is also a little bit lacking. I get a lot of wheat, but only a little bit of pepper and coriander and even less fruit. I get a little bit of orange peel, but it is very faint. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Dedollewaitor (21438) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2010
Bottle @ Grobbendonk, Belgium. Pours unclear golden with a small white layer of foam on top. Nose is yeast, wheat and cookie dough. Flavor is yeasty and quite bready. Medium bodied.
