The beer is dense, but smooth and has a nice roasty coffee aroma and flavor. It isn’t anything terribly unique or complex, but it goes down quite well nonetheless!
Draught (pint) at Granite City Food & Brewery in Maumee, Ohio. Rating #83 for this beer.

Subtle chocolate and coffee nose. Very smooth beer with lots of roasted grains, bitter chocolate and sweetened coffee flavors. I got an almost smoked bacon taste. Not bad for trucked in wort. vyvvy (2129), Florissant, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 23, 2008 Pours quite dark with a dense tan head that was determined to say on there the whole time. The aroma is very light with a hint of cream. Medium rich body that gets light on the finish and has the expected sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with light cream, vanilla and some roasted malt. The finis is sour and almost fruity. Like all of the GC beers it is watery. Fair. PhillyBeer2112 (2106), Oviedo, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 26, 2006 Wichita location: Was OK - very typical of a standard brewpub nitro stout. Creamy to the point of watery. What did stand out was a smooth hint of smoke near the finish. So yea, it had a little more character than some nitro stouts. Brown black with a firm creamy nitro head.
