2008-03-07. As Brune. Brown body - chestnut? - with a good sized pillowy off white head. Aroma is a touch muted, dark fruit over sweet malt, very muted sugars. Average palate. Pleasant. Deserves more of a write up but I was a bit distracted looking around Beer Mania.
Bottle at Beer Mania, Brussels

Bottle from Cracked Kettle as Slaapmutske Bruin. Golden dark brown body with healthy, foamy head. Alcy and malty nose. Very full taste. Enjoyable. First malts and dark fruits, then lighter fruits, oranges and such. Warm and tasty finish. Nice one.

Great, full taste! In the beginning it was nothing special but at the end I really, really loved this beer! Can’t wait to try it again!

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with ryvita, dark fruit and spices. Malty, fruity taste with notes of brown bread, ryvita, dark fruit, caramel and a spicy finish with balanced bitterness. Medium body, fairly dry. Tasty and nice beer.

75cl bottle at home. called slaapmutske bruin. red-brown with a large thick white head. fruity and spicy aroma. fresh fruits, quite hoppy. rosehip. balanced. mild. nice! flavor is dark fruits, caramel, licorice, malts, and flowery hops. faintly resembles a fresh dark barley wine. a very good use of hops where the faint hops really raise the beer to a new level of drinkabillity.

Draught @ Zythos 2009. A clear dark amber colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of caramel with coriander and some fruits. The taste of caramel, dark fruits like raisins, a little spicey and a little bitter. The aftertaste is a little bitter with some sweets.

[33cl bottle] Hazy, dark amber colour with a beige and big foamy white head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with caramel, nuts, subtle citrus-fruity notes and a touch of spicy hops. Sweet flavour, medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Straight malt-accented toasty taste with caramel, slightly fruity notes and coriander spice. Almost dry, sweet-bitter finish with toasted and light hoppy elements. Well-rounded brew [11.I.09].
